The construction of 476 subsidized housing units in the University sector is in progress.
In this area, 1,006 subsidized housing units are planned for direct public development, on municipal land valued in 24 million euros.
Not enough homes are being built and the rental market is strained by the lack of offer.
Recently, Javier Braza Delgado, CEO and Co-Founder of Lagoom Living REIM, was interviewed by Andalucia Inmobiliaria magazine, to discuss the the future of the rental market in Spain, and the importance of government policy and action to address the issue of affordable renting.

As one of the speakers at the event in the programme, specialising in investment, public-private partnerships, second homes, sustainability and innovation, Javier Braza emphasised the necessity of affordable and quality subsidised housing in area of the Costa del Sol.
When are the next draws for VPO homes in Malaga?
The conclusion of several projects in 2024 opens the door to new allocations of subsidized rental housing.
Lagoom Living will develop 57 homes for rent in Malaga.
The development will be located between Gigantes and Carretería streets, in the heart of Malaga’s historic centre. With an investment of eleven million euros, the development will cover an area of 1,423 square metres, with a buildable area of 3,752 square metres.
Lagoom Living signs a collaboration agreement with the Association of Food Bank and Shelter of Lagunillas in Málaga.
One more step in the objective of socioeconomic rehabilitation of the historic center of Malaga.

The promotion includes 530 rental homes, with monthly payments between 611 and 511 euros for a 3-bedroom apartment with a garage and storage room.
