Lagoom Living launches in Seville the largest project in Andalusia for affordable rent: 691 subsidised homes and 152 transitional units

Lagoom Living launches in Seville the largest affordable rental housing project in Andalusia, with 843 units that will mark a turning point in the expansion of the city's housing stock. The development comprises 691 subsidised (VPO) units for affordable rent and 152 transitional units and is part of Lagoom Living's public-private collaboration strategy to strengthen the supply of affordable housing and guarantee access for more families.

With an investment of approximately 143 million euros, the subsidised rental units include 24.4 million euros from the Next Generation EU funds, managed by the Regional Government of Andalusia within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR).

The 'Lagoom Living Sevilla Este' complex —as the new development is called— is one of the most significant affordable rental housing developments of the last decade in Andalusia, driven by the strategy of the Seville City Council and EMVISESA to activate public land through public-private collaboration models that make it possible to increase the supply of affordable rental housing over the long term.

Lagoom Living was awarded the tender called by EMVISESA for the public-land concession of plot R-1, located in the Seville Este Fair and Exhibition Grounds, reinforcing its national growth based exclusively on developments for affordable rent.

The project was presented this morning at Seville City Hall and was attended by the Mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz; the Regional Minister of Development, Territorial Articulation and Housing of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Rocío Díaz; and the Deputy Government Delegate, Francisco Toscano, among many other authorities related to the sector.

Project features

The project incorporates a diversified offer that responds to the current needs of affordable rental housing: 691 subsidised (VPO) units for affordable rent, distributed across four blocks of between eight and fourteen storeys; and 152 transitional units.

The complex also includes 715 parking spaces, storage rooms and a network of shared spaces designed to strengthen community life: green areas, swimming pool, sports areas, coworking, multipurpose rooms, laundries and leisure spaces designed for everyday use.

With more than 54,000 m² built, Lagoom Living Sevilla Este represents a qualitative leap in the development of affordable rental housing in Spain. The architectural design prioritises comfort, energy efficiency and urban quality. The units will feature cross ventilation, high-performance thermal envelopes, photovoltaic roofs and a double A energy rating.

The project, which will begin in early 2026, will be carried out using industrialised construction systems, reducing timeframes, waste generation and environmental impact. It is an urban model aligned with the best European practices in affordable rental housing and the sustainable city.
