Massive launch for Lagoom Living Distrito Universidad: 7,103 applications for the first 62 homes

We closed the registration process for the allocation of the first 62 homes of Plot R3 in Distrito Universidad with an extraordinary response: 7,103 applications registered in just fifteen days.

This high level of participation confirms the strong interest of Malaga residents in our affordable rental housing model and highlights the need to continue expanding supply in the city.

These first homes are part of an ambitious development of 530 protected homes for affordable rent, which positions Distrito Universidad as one of the most relevant projects at national level in this segment. It is also an innovative project, conceived as the first smart city of protected rental housing in Spain.

Next steps in the process

After the close of the registration period, we will publish the provisional list of admitted and excluded applicants on 31 March from 2:00 p.m. on our website. The appeals period will remain open until 9 April (inclusive). Once it ends, we will release the final list with the complete record of admitted and excluded applicants in this call.

Moving forward: a new phase on the way

Following the success of this first call, we are already working on a second allocation phase, which will include nearly a hundred new homes within the same development.

With this new push, we reinforce our commitment to Malaga and to generating real solutions that facilitate access to housing.

A model based on collaboration

Distrito Universidad is a pioneering project that we develop together with the Government of Spain, the Regional Government of Andalusia and the Malaga City Council.

Thanks to the funding from the European Union's Next Generation funds, through the Official Credit Institute (ICO) and the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, we are driving a public-private collaboration model committed to more sustainable, accessible urban planning focused on people's real needs.
