We have signed a collaboration agreement Fundacion Olivares, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the comprehensive care and support of children with cancer and their families. This alliance seeks to promote various initiatives in favour of the fight against childhood cancer, promoting the welfare of hospitalised children and their loved ones.
Within the framework of this agreement, LAGOOM LIVING is committed to making a significant financial donation that will contribute to financing the psychological, social and emotional support programmes of the Olivares Foundation. In addition, both organisations are joining forces to raise awareness of the urgent need to support children facing cancer, as well as their families, who are going through very vulnerable times.
The agreement also includes the promotion of bone marrow donation, an essential action in the fight against childhood cancer, and the search for volunteers willing to join the Olivares Foundation’s activities.
This collaboration agreement represents a further step in LAGOOM LIVING’s commitment to social causes and its mission to contribute to the welfare of the community, especially in times of vulnerability.
About Fundación Olivares
Fundación Andrés Olivares has been working since 2010 to improve the quality of life of children and adolescents suffering from cancer and/or other chronic pathologies and their families by offering a series of free services complementary to medical treatment: speech therapy, psychology, physiotherapy, nutrition, social and economic support, body, soul and mind balancing techniques and recreational activities.
Since 2019 it has been collaborating with the Hospital Materno Infantil de Málaga (Regional University Hospital) offering these services at home to complex chronic paediatric patients in order to try to avoid, as far as possible, their long periods of hospital admission and thus improve their quality of life and that of their families.
Since it began, it has helped more than 740 families and carried out almost 30,000 sessions of the different services it offers.
